Downtown Charleston, SC Engagement (Mark & Jaclyn)

”Mark and I first connected during my stent as a travel nurse in Boston. On our first date, he asked me how long I planned on traveling for, to which I replied, ‘until I figure out where home is!’.

Not even five minutes after parting ways that same day, I sent a text out to my family and best friends saying ‘I found my husband!!!’, and boy was I right. Turns out, home is right by his side, and we’ve been together ever since. I’m so lucky to have not only found the greatest love of my life, but also to have gained the most supportive, and fun best friend. I’m looking forward to a lifetime of last minute trips, bike rides, speakeasies, dancing, trying new restaurants, laughter, and long lasting memories.”

Downtown Greenville, SC Engagement (Ken & Stephanie)

“‘Ma’am, you have to be 21 to enter the club. We’re going to have to ask you to leave,’ said the host of a Las Vegas club. Ken and I were in Vegas for a NSBE conference in spring 2009 while in college at the University of South Carolina. Since we both were under 21, we had to take the walk of shame back to our hotel while our friends got to party. I thought during the walk home he’d be blown away by my dashing looks and we’d start talking, but he…”

Bald Rock | Cleveland, SC Engagement (Evan & Hannah)

“Hannah and I first found each other at the coffee shop I was managing. I say found, because the meeting didn’t come for a while. Hannah’s little sister, Hayley, worked with me at the coffee shop. I remember one of the first conversations we had, which was about how excited she was that her sister was finally coming home for the summer.

After Hannah returned from her mission trip, she walked in with her bright blonde highlights, shorts, and a pink t-shirt. Now, I don’t know what love at first sight is or if it even exists; I think love is enduring and can’t be decided in a moment. However, what I can tell you is that the moment I saw Hannah, I knew I would easily fall in love with her if I wasn’t careful. She has a certain…”

Charlotte, NC Engagement (Wes & Camilla)

“It all started when we both swiped right. After getting to know each other on the League, Wes asked me on our first date to Merchant & Trade, a rooftop bar in uptown Charlotte. I was excited he picked somewhere new and cool to try with beautiful views. Sure enough, Merchant & Trade didn’t disappoint, and neither did Wes. We talked for hours effortlessly on our first date over craft cocktails. The connection was there right from the beginning, and we both knew we wanted…”

“After months of refusing the idea of a blind date, proposed by our mutual friend, and some small talk via text, it was the day of the solar eclipse in 2017. I was in the Charlotte airport on a layover from Phoenix, and as the boarding process began, I saw the back of a brunette boy’s head. Right away I thought myself, “Oh my gosh. That’s him!” I was so nervous and thinking of all ways possible to avoid having to talk to him. I resorted to the ‘putting on headphones with no music playing’ trick, hoping that would work, but it didn’t. While walking on the plane, all of a sudden I felt someone grab my thigh (we still laugh at how awkward this was) and stop me. I acted surprised to see him and said a quick “hi and bye.” Once we landed in Greenville, I headed…”

Columbia, SC Engagement (Nick & Crystal)

"Rewind to five years ago. It was our Junior year of undergrad at the University of South Carolina. I’m sitting in the Russell House with one of my best friends, waiting for my next class, and glance over her shoulder to notice a familiar face looking my way. (Familiar because I’ve seen him around campus— not to mention he was a starter on our football team) It was Nick. I look away, then look back, and he’s still watching me. At this point I’m thinking, “this is awkward,” so I smile and sarcastically wave. He waves back. Little did I know…”
