Greenville, SC Engagement (Josh & Paige)

“After months of refusing the idea of a blind date, proposed by our mutual friend, and some small talk via text, it was the day of the solar eclipse in 2017. I was in the Charlotte airport on a layover from Phoenix, and as the boarding process began, I saw the back of a brunette boy’s head. Right away I thought myself, “Oh my gosh. That’s him!” I was so nervous and thinking of all ways possible to avoid having to talk to him. I resorted to the ‘putting on headphones with no music playing’ trick, hoping that would work, but it didn’t. While walking on the plane, all of a sudden I felt someone grab my thigh (we still laugh at how awkward this was) and stop me. I acted surprised to see him and said a quick “hi and bye.” Once we landed in Greenville, I headed…”

Columbia, SC Engagement (Nick & Crystal)

"Rewind to five years ago. It was our Junior year of undergrad at the University of South Carolina. I’m sitting in the Russell House with one of my best friends, waiting for my next class, and glance over her shoulder to notice a familiar face looking my way. (Familiar because I’ve seen him around campus— not to mention he was a starter on our football team) It was Nick. I look away, then look back, and he’s still watching me. At this point I’m thinking, “this is awkward,” so I smile and sarcastically wave. He waves back. Little did I know…”

Oklahoma City, OK Engagement (Dylan & Laiken)

"On February 23rd, our practice got out early, which was a rare occurrence. As any high school girl would, I walked over to the other gym with my teammates to see the boys team scrimmage. They were scrimmaging some town I had never heard of; Roff. I stuck around the entire time, knowing a few of us wanted to take the floor after they were finished to get some shots up. To my surprise I caught the eye of one of the players from the opposing team. (As I get older I understand how small the world is, and how much smaller it is if you played sports.) One of my guy friends happened to know a guy on that team; the one who was interested in knowing me. He says, “Dude, I have to know who the redhead is.” Later that night I got a text from a number I didn't recognize…”

Pisgah Forest | Brevard, NC Engagement (Adam & Emily)

I first met with Adam and Emily back in February. They are great friends with a couple I shot a wedding for last month, so it's a blessing to continue working with such awesome people! I enjoyed having Adam show me around his hometown and, not to mention...admiring the vast beauty of the Pisgah Forest! What a great place this must have been to grow up! These two are so much fun and I can only try to remain patient for their Fall wedding!

Nebo, NC Engagement (Justin & Erika)

Erika and Justin are so stinking cute together! Though we had spoken on the phone a time or two, I really didn't get to know them until this past weekend. What I learned is that this pair is so laid back and fun...and they are serious bird watchers. It was interesting seeing them identify all the different calls we could hear in the mountains...and there were a lot! I absolutely can not wait for their Charleston wedding this fall!
