I’m sitting in the Russell House with one of my best friends, waiting for my next class, and glance over her shoulder to notice a familiar face looking my way. Read More"On February 23rd, our practice got out early, which was a rare occurrence. As any high school girl would, I walked over to the other gym with my teammates to see the boys team scrimmage. They were scrimmaging some town I had never heard of; Roff. I stuck around the entire time, knowing a few of us wanted to take the floor after they were finished to get some shots up. To my surprise I caught the eye of one of the players from the opposing team. (As I get older I understand how small the world is, and how much smaller it is if you played sports.) One of my guy friends happened to know a guy on that team; the one who was interested in knowing me. He says, “Dude, I have to know who the redhead is.” Later that night I got a text from a number I didn't recognize…”
Read MoreI first met Adam and Emily back in February, and I was thrilled when they reached out about their engagement session. They’re close friends with one of my recent wedding couples, so it’s always a gift to keep working within the same circle of amazing people.
For their session, Adam showed us around his hometown of Brevard, and we spent the afternoon exploring the incredible beauty of Pisgah National Forest. Between the mountain views, the lush greenery, and the way these two laughed together so effortlessly, it was the perfect setting to capture this chapter of their story.
