Emma’s Bridals at Whitewall Studios & The Westin Poinsett | Greenville, SC
Bridal portraits have a way of slowing everything down. No timeline, no rushing… just space to breathe, move, and capture who a bride is before the wedding day arrives. For Emma, we blended two completely different environments to tell her story: the clean, editorial feel of Whitewall Studios and the timeless architecture of the Westin Poinsett in downtown Greenville. The contrast between the two locations created a portrait collection that feels classic, intentional, and unmistakably her.
She and Wilson were married last weekend, and revisiting these images feels even more special now.
Whitewall Studios – Clean, Editorial, Minimal
Whitewall Studios has become one of my favorite places for bridal portraits because of how effortlessly it photographs. Soft natural light, neutral tones, and wide open space meant Emma could move freely… veil shots, full-length gown details, and calm, timeless portraits without distraction.
These images set the tone for the session: refined, elegant, and focused entirely on her.
The Westin Poinsett – Classic Greenville Architecture
After leaving the studio, we headed over to the Westin Poinsett, Emma and Wilson’s wedding venue. The historic façade, the iconic marquee, and the warm interior details inside Spoonbread gave us a completely different aesthetic. The portraits outside the entrance and at the café window added depth and character… the kind of images that instantly feel like Greenville.
It’s one thing to take a bridal portrait; it’s another to create images that feel tied to the place where the wedding will happen. These did that beautifully.
One of my favorite parts of this session was how naturally Emma fit into each space. Studio portraits can feel minimal and polished… but she carried that same energy right into the Westin, which allowed the whole session to feel cohesive, even across two very different settings.
