”Charles and I met at our church’s college/20s ministry, ‘The Well.’ We had several mutual friends, and for a long time, would always just say, ‘hi.’ Eventually, we both ended up being greeters, welcoming people in as they came to The Well, and we quickly became friends. After several months of growing our friendship, countless conversations about life, faith, and our future, multiple game nights (and by game night, I mean playing Rock Band), he asked my dad to date me…and the rest is history!

We then dated for four years, with the last two of those being long distance. Each visit was always exciting, but him coming home for Christmas was always my favorite, because it meant a longer visit than our usual 4 day trips.

But Christmas 2020 was particularly my favorite… Charles got in town on Christmas Eve, and as usual, I had all the excitement for my favorite time of year and my favorite person being there. Little did I know, that the next day he would get down on one knee and ask me to spend the rest of my life with him!”
