South Mountain | Phoenix, Arizona Couples Shoot (Tyler & Asia)

“Our love story begins at our high school in 2006.

I spotted Tyler one day at lunch and instantly developed a crush, so I started asking around for his name. Once I got it, I friend requested him on Myspace (which still makes me laugh every time I think about it!).

After talking online and then meeting in-person, we clicked right off-the-bat. He became my first boyfriend and the first boy I ever kissed, but alas, we were just kids - and our first run at it didn’t last longer than a couple of months.

Over the years, we would see each other from time to time. Occasionally, we’d go to Jamba Juice together to catch up. He even accompanied me to register for my first day of college. One of my favorite memories is from when I left a scarf at his parents' house. He would randomly text me pictures of him wearing it in different countries (he traveled a lot for work). I later found out that he kept that scarf inside his backpack from the 10th grade on and considered it his good luck charm; To this day, it’s still in there. The moral of the story is - we always kept in touch.

Fast forward to my junior year of college, we began to see more and more of each other and decided to give it another go. It’s all history from then on out!

A lot has happened since that fateful day I friend requested him on MySpace…High school and college graduations, business launches, career changes. We did a cross-country move from Florida to Arizona, adopted 3 fur babies, got married, bought a house, and traveled the world together.

So all these years later, here we are. Tyler is truly my heart in human form and I can’t imagine doing this life without him. I’m so grateful for these pictures Terrell took of us that capture our love, spirit, and playfulness. We will treasure them for years to come!”
