“Joseph and I met in Austin, Texas while we were both students at UT. Originally being from Houston, we’ve come to think of Austin as a second home. During our engagement, it was easy to pick Austin as the location for our wedding because we feel like that’s where our love for each other started, so why not go back and share our wedding with our closest friends and family in a location so close to our hearts? Once we visited Barr Mansion we knew it was the place where we would be married. Barr Mansion was truly a breathtaking place to get married. Joseph and I both love the outdoors and natural beauty. We felt that Barr Mansion encompassed the rustic elegance and natural beauty that we hoped to capture on our wedding day. We were also drawn to Barr by its historical elegance and wanted to incorporate that into our "theme," which is why we went with a vintage / victorian garden type theme.”
